FAQs

I know that choosing a footcare provider and booking your first appointment can raise questions. Below you'll find answers to the most common queries that I receive. If you don't see your question answered here, please don't hesitate to contact me directly - I'm always happy to help.

What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first visit includes a comprehensive foot health assessment. I'll examine your feet, discuss your concerns and medical history, and explain my findings. Treatment will be provided during the same visit, along with personalised advice for ongoing foot care.
How long does an appointment take?
Appointments typically last 30-45 minutes, allowing time for thorough assessment and treatment. I never rush - your comfort and care is paramount.
Do you visit homes outside Cheltenham?
I provide home visits throughout the local Cheltenham area, including Gloucester, Bishops Cleeve, Ashleworth, Staunton, Tirley, Apperley, Prestbury, Charlton Kings, Leckhampton and Churchdown. Contact me to confirm whether your location is within my service area.
Is there a difference in service between clinic and home visits?
No. I bring the same professional equipment, expertise, and quality of care to every appointment, regardless of location.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No referral is necessary. You can contact me directly to book an appointment.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Just yourself! If you have any relevant medical information or a list of current medications, these can be helpful but aren't essential.
How often should I have footcare treatment?
This varies depending on your individual needs. After your assessment, I'll recommend an appropriate schedule for ongoing care.
Do you treat diabetic feet?
Yes, I have experience in diabetic foot care and understand the specific needs of patients with diabetes. Regular footcare is particularly important for diabetic patients.
